The Canadian Tire Track
The Peace Country Luge Association is currently building a $200,000 world class, internationally certified natural luge track that is located at Nitehawk Ski Hill.
The exsisting infrastructure to host competitions is already in place. The north facing slopes provide perfect conditions for natural ice making. The facility will have 912m of track to meet competitive standards. The track is designed to host world class events, and serve as a recreationally and training facility. It will be open from December to March to beginners and experts. The Grande Prairie track may become the national training centre for Natural Luge.
Rental equipment will be available to allow members of the community to experience the fun and excitement of natural track luge.
