2006 World Cup in Grande Prairie
This year, from February 28th to March 5th, Canadian Tire Track at Nitehawk will welcome the world to the Peace Country!
Entry for spectators is FREE and everyone is welcome to come and check out the top natural luge athletes in the world compete.
The Peace Country Luge Association is hosting two back-to-back FIL World Cup circuit races. Athletes, Coaches and Officials from over 10 nations will arrive in the Peace Country on February 28th. March 1st will be a training day culminating with the on-hill Opening Ceremonies at 7pm. Racing action begins at 10am on Thursday March 2nd and continues through to Sunday. This year’s races will be the final test events before the 2007 Natural Track Luge World Championships, which have been awarded to Grande Prairie.
